As we’ve already reported, we were supposed to get the physical edition of Bayonetta on Nintendo Switch today, but Nintendo have announced that they will be delaying the release of the game in Europe and the UK.
Here’s what they said:
“We are now aiming to release the physical edition of Bayonetta in the first half of October, exclusively on My Nintendo Store. Please stay tuned for more info. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.”
It is not a problem to delay releases when problems occur but this decision…at the last minute basically will certainly leave plenty of Nintendo fans unhappy. This isn’t the first time we have a situation like this either since, earlier this year, we have had a delay of the collector’s edition of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 due to unforeseen logistical challenges”. To date, no changes have been made, and the collector’s edition of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is still unavailable for order in both the UK and Europe.
While waiting for better news, it should be noted that Bayonetta 3 will launch on Nintendo Switch on October 28.
