Both Diablo IV and Overwatch 2 are among the most anticipated games on the planet right now. We were hoping to see them on our shelves this year, but as Blizzard announced, we will have to wait until 2022 at least.
Speaking to investors in an earnings call, the studio confirmed that neither of these two games will launch this year. Here's what the financial officer Dennis Durkin had to say on the matter: "We expect Blizzard's net bookings to grow given the momentum in World of Warcraft and the other growth initiatives we have in the business. Our outlook does not include Diablo 4 or Overwatch 2 launching in 2021. And while Diablo Immortal is progressing well, and we anticipate its launch later this year we don't have any material contribution from the title in our outlook presently."
