The Witcher: Blood Origin prequel series announces lead actress and more plot details

Netflix have announced that Jodie Turner-Smith will be playing the lead role of Éile in the upcoming The Witcher prequel series, The Witcher: Blood Origin.


As revealed on the official NX Twitter account, the company wrote that her character will be "a fierce warrior with the voice of a goddess" and this prequel will "tell the story of the first Witcher prototype".


The actress is best known for starring opposite Get Out & Black Panther star Daniel Kaluuya in Queen & Slim. The spin-off series was first announced last summer and it was confirmed that the events will take place more than thousand years before the main show.


We don't know the release date yet, but Witcher fans have many things to be excited about, especially since the second season of the main show, as well as an animated movie, will both air on Netflix this year. Now that will be a joy to watch!
