Asterix and Obelix XXL Romastered has been announced for PC and consoles

Microids have announced a remastered (or "romasteed") version of Asterix and Obelix XXL, a platformer that was originally released in 2003 on PS2. The remastered version of the game is in development for PC and consoles with Osome Studio being in charge of the project.

The remastered version will include upgraded graphics, reworked animations, new game modes, an improved camera and control system, and the option to switch to classic aesthetics if you prefer the old-school visuals. The game will apparently launch on October 22 but Microids still needs to drop a video that will allow us to see our favorite Gauls in action.

Asterix and Obelix XXL Romastered will launch on October 22 on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
