If you’re a fan of Mega Man Zero and you always wondered how it would look like if the game was a bit faster, you may want to keep an eye on Berserk Boy. The action-platformer is currently being developed by the BerserkBoy Games and it’s set to launch on Nintendo Switch and PC on March 6.

The team also dropped a new trailer that confirmed the launch date while showing us a glimpse of what we can expect when the game launches. Based on what we can see, this will be a real joy for all anime lovers and I’m certainly all for it.

Staying true to its evident inspirations, ranging from the Mega Man series to Sonic the Hedgehog, Berserk Boy seamlessly incorporates all the anticipated elements. We have jumping, dashing, and sliding, offering a familiar yet engaging experience. Players will get to harness and toggle between different abilities such as Lightning, Fire, Earth, Air, and Ice. To add a touch of villainy, there's a mad scientist accompanied by his "army of darkness" to provide a suitable challenge.

The Berserk Boy soundtrack is created by Tee Lopes who is well known for his contributions to Streets of Rage 4, Sonic Mania, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, and more. However, what really “got” me is the speed element. The game promises a captivating blend of combo-chaining, acrobatic challenges, and exhilarating rail-sliding. As Berserk Boy is slated to make its debut in March, I'm eager to see if it lives up to the standards set by the games that paved the way for its creation.
