During the Xbox Developer Direct Livestream 2024, Ninja Theory revealed that the highly-anticipated Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will launch on May 21, 2024, on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and as a Day One on Game Pass title. The release date is set!
The sequel is coming nearly seven years after the debut of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Once again, we will take on the role of Senua, embarking on a journey to conquer the ruthless and savage Viking raids in an oppressive Icelandic setting. Similar to its predecessor, Hellblade 2’s narrative will evolve through a cinematic lens, portraying her struggle with psychosis. But this is, in a way, also a good thing because it helps her traverse the harsh Icelandic landscape.
2024 is shaping to be a superb year for both cinematic and story-driven games and I’m all for it.
