A sequel to Consumer Softproducts’ shared fever dear, Cruelty Squad is now listed on Steam. Psycho Patrol R can now be wishlisted, although we have no release window announced at the moment.
In Psycho Patrol R, you take on the role of a federal police officer working in the renowned Psycho Patrol unit. Your mission involves piloting a V-Stalker to investigate "mental crime”, among other things. The game is marketed as a fusion of intense tactical FPS combat set in an expansive, non-linear world and each player has the opportunity to personalize the gear on their formidable V-Stalker, adhering to the unspoken tradition prevalent in mech game realms. We also have moments outside the mechanical exoskeleton where we can even participate in captivating discussions about cryptocurrency with corporate executives. Cool stuff if you’re a web3 nerd like me.
Currently, it appears that Psycho Patrol R is opting for a more subdued approach, toning down the bold and vivid colors reminiscent of Cruelty Squad's visually intense and surreal palette. Nonetheless, the graphics of the game show off a distinctive jank-pop aesthetic and I’m totally digging it.
Psycho Patrol R is coming to PC at some point in the future. We have no release window at this point.
