Nintendo have revealed the next batch of games that joined the Switch Online Service and this time, the NES service gets The Mysterious Murasame Castle (Nazo no Murasame-Jou) and Devil World, while the Game Boy gets Castlevania: Legends.

The Mysterious Murasame Castle (arguably the best game of the bunch) was initially released back in 1986 for the Famicom Disk System alongside titans like The Legend of Zelda and Metroid. It never saw the light of day in the West until Nintendo decided to release it outside of Japan in 2014 on the 3DS Virtual Console. Sure, it’s not as fun as Metroid or Zelda, but it’s still a damn good game.

Devil World gets more comments in general and when you consider that it includes big names like Shigeru Miyamoto, Takashi Tezuka, and Kōji Kondō…it’s no wonder at all. The game was released in 1984 for Famicom, and despite these iconic names being involved in its development, it was never released in North America. The biggest reason for that is that Nintendo of America had a very strict policy against religious imagery. It’s a maze game heavily inspired by Pac-Man and it’s worth trying.

Castlevania Legends is also included in the mix, but unlike timeless gems like the first three NES Castlevania games and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, this one is…well, not that great. But certainly still worth a shot, especially if you’re a fan of the series.

Have fun with these games, they ought to keep you occupied until new stuff arrives.
