Spider-Man 2 is the fastest-selling PlayStation Studios game ever

Following a very successful launch last week, PlayStation revealed that Spider-Man 2 already had quite an impact. In the first 24 hours alone, it managed to sell a staggering 2.5 million copies, which makes it the fastest-selling game from PlayStation’s first-party studios.


The UK numbers are beyond impressive too. As GameIndustry.biz revealed, Spider-Man 2 claimed the top spot when it comes to physical sales in the UK, surpassing even Super Mario Bros Wonder. Furthermore, it had 5% greater sales than Hogwarts Legacy on PS5 and is now the 4th biggest physical launch in the UK this year, falling short only behind Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, EA Sports FC24, and Hogwarts Legacy on all platforms.
