While RoboCop: Rogue City was initially scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch, in the end, it’s not happening after all. Nacon have announced that the Switch version of the game is pretty much thrown in the dumpster.

It’s hardly surprising. We haven’t seen the Switch logo since at least the Future Games Show that was held in August. However, we did see it on the gameplay reveal trailer from last year, which suggests that they were at least considering bringing the game to Ninty’s popular console. Gematsu reached out to the studio and they were told, “At this moment, we don’t have any plans for a Nintendo Switch release.”

The Switch version of Robocop: Rogue City was never advertised officially and while they did consider it, in the end, they chose not to stick with it. The reason? Perhaps lack of funding, technical difficulties, or a number of different reasons. Who knows really?

RoboCop: Rogue City is nonetheless still coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 2, 2023.
