Megan Fox joins the Mortal Kombat 1 roster as Nitara
Following the addition of J.K. Simmons and John Cena.
Since being initially revealed, Mortal Kombat 1 has been unveiling their cast one by another. And we have a good number of big names already! From J.K. Simmons reprising the role of Omni-Man from Invincible to John Cena jumping into the shoes of Peacemaker, the game is very ambitious when it comes to hiring AAA games. Anyway, Warner Bros. Games just revealed one more member of the cast – it’s none other than Megan Fox, an actress who is well-known for her role in Transformers (2007) and Jenifer’s Body (2009). In this game, she’ll be taking the role of Nitara.
As a quick reminder, Nitara is a winged vampire coming from the realm of Vaeternus. The trailer shows off this kickass lady fighting against characters like Kung Lao and Ashrash, which suggests she’s up to the same old ways.
This is what Megan had to say about her upcoming role as the winged vampire: “I grew up playing Mortal Kombat and I can’t believe that I’m voicing a character in the new game. It’s an honor to be a part of one of the greatest video game legacies of all time.“
Nitara last showed up in Deadly Alliances but she was mentioned or referenced in Mortal Kombat: Deception, Mortal Kombat X, and Mortal Kombat 11. She was also a part of the 2021 Mortal Kombat movie, where she was portrayed by Mel Jarnson.
Mortal Kombat 1 is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC in September.
