Street Fighter 6 breaks franchise and all-time Evo records for this year

Street Fighter 6 has been out for roughly a month now but it’s making huge strides already. The current number of Evo registrants speaks alone of its current popularlity, and sure enough, the game is breaking both franchise and all-time Evo player count records.


Announced on social media, the Evolution Championship Series said that Street Fighter 6 officially broke a franchise and all-time Evo record for competitors. Now, they didn’t say how many players that is, but looking at the previous record held by Street Fighter V at Evo 2016, 5000+ registrants is the realistic number.


You have two more weeks to sign-up for Evo 2023. It will run from August 4 through August 6 in Las Vegas, NV.


Street Fighter 6 is available now on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
