The new season of Sonic Prime is coming to Netflix this July
We’re coming to the Shattverse.
Good news coming for all fans of everyone’s favorite blue blur and the suitably silly Netflix animated series, Sonic Prime – the company confirmed that a new season will be premiering on the streaming service this July.
Premiering back in December of last year, Sonic Prime sees our lovely hedgehog jumping into a multiverse known as “Shatterverse” where he embarks on a series of adventures with alt-reality versions of his friends and side-kicks, including Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, and Rogue the Bat.
The first season saw Sonic and the crew heading into a future world, the prehistoric era, a pirate world, and more. We also had a whole range of Dr. Robotnik variants, that all formed a council with the main goal of taking over the entire Shatterverse.
The show was praised by both critics and fans alike. They’ve both praised the style, animation, scripting. and voice acting, but they also criticized the writing for being a bit too repetitive. Oh well, nothing is perfect.
Sonic Prime 2 will be premiering on Netflix exclusively on July 13. You can watch Season One right now.
