Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon’s V-Day event is just around the corner

Yacht Club Games are preparing to host a Valentine’s Day event through the PC version of Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon, which is a perfect opportunity for you to have proper revenge on your ex without making them feel too miserable.


The whole concept is very straightforward. All you have to do is send in the name of the object of your derision via a Google Survey before February 13. All of the names will be collected and dropped into the upcoming preview update. When Valentine’s Day arrives, all the Beetos that spawn will be renamed with monikers from the list of ex-lovers. That should teach them a lesson to not mess with other people’s hearts.

  1. Send us your ex’s first name via this Google Survey by 2/13!

  2. We’ll input all of the submitted names into our upcoming Puzzler’s Pack DLC Early Preview update on Steam.

  3. On Valentine’s Day (02/14/23), the squashing spree will begin!

  4. This Steam-only event is all for fun, so we’ll remove all the names after the event. The event will officially end on 2/15/23!


The event is free as long as you have a copy of the game on Steam so now is the right time to hop on board if you haven’t done so already.


Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon is available on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Mac, and PC, but the Squash your Ex event is exclusive to the Steam version only.
