Ubisoft says Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be returning to the series’ roots
A reset that we really needed.
Ubisoft have confirmed that the next upcoming entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise will be returning to the series’ roots. A long-awaited (and necessary) reset, I would say.
In an interview given for GameRadar+, Assassin’s Creed creative director Stéphane Boudon confirmed that even though Odyssey and Valhalla are “great games with the promise to live an epic journey in a strong fantasy,” the studio will put a greater focus on “character-driven story” and “the core pillars of the first ACs in a more intimate scale” for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which is certainly great news for all fans of old-school AC games.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage was announced last September and it was confirmed back then that the plot will focus on Basim from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and will take place in ninth-century Baghdad. Personally, I can’t wait for more information to roll out! I’m certain that the next Assassin’s Creed title will be a blast to play.
