Metacritic reveals the best-reviewed Switch games of 2022

One first-party exclusive also made it into the top 10.

Metacritic have unveiled the best-reviewed Nintendo Switch games of 2022, including a full top 40 breakdown of each game on the list.


The criteria itself is very broad as it involves every game that will launch between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022 and a game that has at least seven reviews ranked by Metacritic.


The top Switch games of 2022, according to Metacritic are:

  1. Portal Companion Collection

  2. Persona 5 Royal

  3. Xenoblade Chronicles 3

  4. NieR: Automata – The End of YoRHa Edition

  5. Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration

  6. Neon White

  7. Tunic

  8. Cuphead: the Delicious Last Course

  9. 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim

  10. The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe


No surprises here at all. Games like Persona 5 Royal, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and NieR: Automata - The End of YoRHa Edition certainly deserved to take the top spots and Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course is just…delicious.
