Sega and Relic Entertainment have announced that their highly anticipated strategy sequel Company of Heroes 3 is not coming out this November and the launch has been pushed back to February 23, 2023, instead. Sigh.

The development team issued a statement on Twitter, saying that they think the game is not quite up to the standards expected of the final product. So they are planning to use these extra four months and will be using the additional four months for additional development time, balance tweaking, bug fixing, and further polishing of the visuals.

The Company of Heroes community reacted to this information with positive patience. People even asked Relic to continue with their work so that they can deliver the best experience in the franchise yet. Company of Heroes 3 is set against the backdrop of the Italian and African theaters of World War II, and it features all the best aspects that we’ve seen in previous games, but in a new environmental destruction engine and with some sweet visual effect improvements. And if that’s not enough, you will be able to pause the action and queue up multiple maneuvers, which allows you to execute plans in real-time when the gameplay resumes.

Company of Heroes 3 is coming to PC on February 23, 2023. Get your not-so-quick march on.
