Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak September update is bringing Flaming Espinas
Feel the power of the flame!
Launching in late September, “Update 2” will add a range of new beasties that you can put straight into your trophy cabinet. Leading the pack is the Flaming Espinas, a creature initially discovered in 2008 PC release Monster Hunter Frontier Season 2.0. Even though it looks similar to the common Espinas, this variant boasts a hazardous orange glow, which is then followed by a devastating flame breath capable of obliterating just about anything.
Update 2 will feature new Rare creatures as well as “powered-up variants of Sunbreak‘s more familiar fare”. We also expect to see some balance tweaks and bug fixes, as it always happens with new patches. A third update is coming out this winter and it will round out Sunbreak‘s 2022 content with further quests, monsters, gear, and other additions. It’ll be a great way to start 2023 for sure.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is available now on PC and Nintendo Switch.
