Pokemon Scarlet and Violet just got a new Competitive Play trailer

The Pokemon Company International have released a new trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, showing off the Competitive Play.


The trailer introduces a new Pokemon named Cyclizar. This is a dragon/Normal type and it comes with a move that is brand new to the series overall.


Shed Tail allows the Pokemon who uses it to create their substitute and then it lines up the next Pokémon in your party which, in the end, replaces the decoy when they take a hit.

If that’s not enough, the trailer also shows off the new Terastallizing mechanic that was introduced earlier this month. Basically, this mechanic allows Pokemon to nullify their opponents (in case they opt for the Tera Blast change) or simply change their type.

Finally, if you buy the game before February 28, you’ll be able to claim a special bonus which includes a special Pikachu that you can’t obtain in any other way in the game itself. It will know Fly and it will have Flying Tera Type. You’ll get this extra sparkly Pikachu via Mystery Gift.


Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are coming to Nintendo Switch on 11 November 2022.
