Sega confirms that we will learn more about Sonic Frontiers at Gamescom

Expected but still great to hear.

Sega have previously announced that Sonic Frontiers is coming out by the end of this year, but it seems we may finally get the exact release date during this year’s Gamescom on August 23 as they’ve confirmed we’ll be seeing some Sonic Frontiers stuff during the event.


The tweet showed off a new piece of art for the game from Sega as well as a promise of some kind of announcement. Gamescom Opening Night Live showrunner Geoff Keighley promised “a new look and news” for Sonic Frontiers and we are yet to see what that means. Make sure you tune in to the Gamescom Opening Night Live stream on August 23 at 2 PM ET to see what these folks have in store.


Sonic Frontiers looks promising at this point, but Sonic Forces looked great and promising too and the final product was...a bit underwhelming. I’ll hold my breath until I experience it.
