One Piece Odyssey is a new RPG that is coming out later this year

The game will see Monkey D. Luffy and the gang getting consumed by a giant storm while hanging out at the sea. Washing up on a mysterious new island, the crew of the Thousand Sunny are then split up and broken apart. As a player, you’ll now get to explore this island, deal with strange encounters from the locals and powerful enemies, and try and get the crew back together once again.

You’ll get to play the game as Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Frankie, and Brook, but along the way, you’ll also meet a plethora of new characters specially created for the game such as Adio. All of these characters (as well as the story itself) have been designed with the help of the series’ original author Eiichiro Oda, so everything should fit perfectly. As stated in the announcement, the new game will be “rooted in canon” to keep the fans happy. What a great way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the original manga’s release.

One Piece Odyssey will land on Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC at some point later in 2022. You can check out the trailer below:
