Luminous Productions have announced that they have delayed the release of their upcoming adventure Forspoken to October 11.

In a message posted on the game’s official Twitter account, the team explained the reasons for this decision and they stated the following: “Our vision for this exciting new IP is to deliver a game world and hero that gamers across the globe will want to experience for years to come, so getting it right is extremely important to us. To that end, during the next few months we will focus all of our efforts on polishing the game and can’t wait for you to experience Frey’s journey this fall.”

The plot focuses on Frey as she gets transported from the present time to a magical world via a mysterious power. A force called The Break has corrupted this world and everything got affected except Frey herself, so now it’s up to her to defeat the Break, save the world, and eventually get back home.

The game was initially announced back in the summer of 2020. However, we didn’t know what the title would be until next March. Frey will be portrayed by Ella Balinska who will also show up in Netflix’s upcoming Resident Evil TV show.

Forspoken is coming out on PS5 and PC on October 11, 2022.
