The side-scrolling beat-em-up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge will have Splinter as a playable character.

Dotemu have announced that our favorite mentor is the latest addition to the cast. He will be joining the legendary reporter and ally April O’Neil as yet another major character that you can smash those Foot Clan bastards with.

The game will feature gorgeous pixel-art surroundings based on the iconic 80’s cartoon version of the series. It supports one to four players, and it features a brand new story that you can enjoy. It’s a true love letter to the original cartoon series and the classic side-scrolling beat-em-up games from the early 90s at the same time.

Dotemu themselves have a lot of experience in launching modern updates of retro classics. Take Streets of Rage 4 as an example and you know why we’re so hyped for this one.
