Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is coming out on consoles and PC today
A pleasant surprise.
Riot Forge have just launched a turn-based RPG Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, set in the universe of the super-popular MOBA series. Didn’t see this coming!
The game is developed by a Darksiders Genesis studio Airship Syndicate. You will be leading a party of Champions from the parent game - Miss Fortune, Braum Yasuo, Illaoi, Pyke, and Ahri. Taking place in the world of Runeterra, you will have to stop a threat against two of the world’s regions.
First, we have the bustling port city of Bilgewater, which is home to smugglers, sea monster hunters, and various dock gangs. We also have Shadow Isles – an area covered with the so-called Black Mist that corrupts everyone who gets in contact with it. The events of the game take place after the events of Burning Tides.
The game is a full, standalone single-player adventure, and it was originally announced back in November of last year. You can grab Ruined King: A League of Legends Story right now on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 versions will follow in the future as well, and everyone who owns the previous-gen version will be able to upgrade to the current-gen for free.
