Forza Horizon 5 got the “largest launch day” for an Xbox Game Studios game
Certainly a deserved title.
Forza Horizon 5 has been officially out for more than 24 hours and it’s already well underway to become one of the most successful Xbox game launches ever.
Xbox head Phil Spencer tweeted out some figures today and they are truly impressive. He revealed that the open-world racer has already welcomed more than 4.5 million players across PC, cloud, and console combined. Woah! On top of that, he also added that this gave it the honor of the largest launch day for any Xbox Game Studios game ever, with a peak concurrent userbase three times that of the highest set by its predecessor Forza Horizon 4. A record to beat, for sure.
The latest entry in Playground Games’ series was already setting records even before it hit the shelves. Earlier this week, almost a million players had picked up the game’s Premium Edition or DLC, which gave them four days of early access to the game before the official release on November 9. Players can also pick up the game via Xbox Game Pass, which certainly helped those impressive numbers too.
Forza Horizon 5 is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
