Wanted: Dead promises hack and slash action from ex-Ninja Gaiden developers

110 Industries have announced Wanted: Dead, a third-person action game heading to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC next year.

You will take the role of Lt Hannah Stone who leads an elite team known as “Zombie Squad”. We’re promised a dark and dangerous version of a near-future Hong Kong, where sharpened skills are essential to survive.

You’ll have to use both guns to engage foes at a distance and sword, as well as the “deep combat system” for closer encounters. There will even be slow motion and a limb severing mechanic that can change enemy attack patterns. Ouch, that sounds painful! The combat mechanics were designed by the same folks behind Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive.

If you look at the trailer closely, you can see an obvious inspiration in Ninja Gaiden. You’ll have to wait for more, but not too much because the launch is scheduled for 2022.
