Sol Cresta is coming out this December and it’s getting a story DLC coming from Hideki Kamiya
December 9 it is.
Platinum Games have announced that a space shooter Sol Cresta is coming to Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC on December 9.
The studio made the announcement as a part of the Japanese indie game festival BitSummit and they’ve revealed during the event that the game will be getting a Story Mode DLC titled “Sol Cresta Dramatic Downloadable Content”. The pack will include a new voiced story written by a Viewtiful Joe and Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya. We’re promised more details on the aforementioned Story DLC at a later time, so make sure you stay tuned.
The game was announced back in 2020 as an April Fool’s joke, but it quickly became much more than that. Sol Cresta is a successor to the 1980’s bullet hell arcade titles Moon Cresta and Terra Cresta. As you go through waves of enemies, you can dock with other ships to swap your weapons and power up. You can also change configurations as you go.
Sol Cresta is coming to PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on December 9. Check out the trailer below:
