Playstack and Cold Symmetry have announced that a roguelike expansion to Dark Souls-inspired title Mortal Shell: The Virtuous Cycle is coming out on August 18.
The DLC was first announced last month promising to “reinvent your journey through Fallgrim and beyond”. It adds 100+ new abilities that you can combine and discover as well as some new talents that you can experiment with. You’ll also be able to control Hadern for the first time! Yes, the former teacher is now the fifth possessable Shell and he has his own unique skill tree in both the main campaign and the DLC.
We also have a new weapon called Axatana. It’s an extremely heavy axe that can also be detached into a pair of incredibly fast katanas. On top of that, you will get the opportunity to unlock new and unique movesets for both forms of the weapon so that you can master it even better.
Mortal Shell: The Virtuous Cycle is coming out on August 18 and it will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC. The trailer is right here:
