Smilegate Entertainment have announced that they are delaying the release of their free-to-play shooter CrossfireX into 2021.
The announcement came via the game's official Twitter account and it reads that "After much deliberation, and in consideration of the challenges faced by the Smilegate development team due to COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to delay the release of CrossfireX to 2021." Fully understandable.
CrossfireX will have a campaign supported by Remedy, the same company who worked on notable franchises like Alan Wake and it will be available through a Premium Battle Pass once the game launches. A movie adaptation is also coming in February and Sony is doing their best to deliver the best possible product.
CrossfireX will launch on Xbox consoles in 2021.
