Battlefield 3 open beta attracted over 8 million players

DICE have announced some impressive stats for the recent BF3 open beta, including the fact that over 8 million people participated.

Other than that, in the BF3 open beta, 47 billion shots were fired resulting in 1.5 billion kills, 635.6 was the longest headshot recorded, 19 million people lost their dogtags and 21 million M-Com stations were destroyed.

Battlefield 3 will be released for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on 28th October in the UK and 25th October in the US.
