SEGA secures Beijing 2008 video game licence
SEGA have announced that they have secured the rights to become the publisher of the Official Video Game of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games
SEGA have announced that they have secured the rights to become the publisher of the Official Video Game of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The rights allow SEGA to publish console, PC/Macintosh, arcade, and handheld games worldwide. In addition, SEGA will publish mobile phone games in Asian markets, which include Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, South Korea and Thailand.
The Official Beijing 2008 video game will include a wide variety of sports, including aquatics (diving and swimming), archery, baseball, basketball, boxing, canoe/kayak, cycling, equestrian, fencing, football (soccer), gymnastics, handball, field hockey, Judo, modern pentathlon, rowing, sailing, shooting, softball, table tennis, Taekwondo, tennis, triathlon, volleyball, weightlifting, and wrestling.
