Keep your pants on (at least for now) as the free Cult of the Lamb update will be launching on January 16.
The folks from Massive Monster have been dropping hints about the upcoming Sins of the Flesh update for quite some time now. This update is poised to be the most substantial in the game's history, with one small addition - intimacy. True to its name, when two followers become romantically involved, they may "discover an egg" – a subtle euphemism, no doubt. This egg can then be hatched, and the newborn can be raised from infancy to become a devoted follower of your cult.
The update also introduces a new progression system, which adds even more complexity to cult management. Expect a plethora of new rituals, buildings, and additional doctrines to enrich your cult's activities. Furthermore, a leveling-up feature allows you to expedite chores. An intriguing addition is the introduction of the "inner circle of disciples," although let's face it, many players may already have their preferred group of followers. The update even enables you to dress them up in style using the tailor building, providing an opportunity for creative expression in your cult's attire.
Last but not least, the update adds blunderbuss as a weapon, allowing you to cause mass destruction at close corners and snipe enemies from long distances.
Cult of the Lamb is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The Sins of the Flesh update will launch on January 16, 2024.
