It seems like every good Metroidvania is destined to arrive to Nintendo Switch sooner or later and that’s exactly what’s waiting in store for GRIME. Akupara Games and Clover Bite announced that their side-scrolling action RPG is coming to Nintendo Switch on January 25.

Presented as the Definitive Edition, this iteration of GRIME promises "the complete GRIME experience." Alongside the core game, the Switch port includes all complimentary downloadable content, including the recently unveiled Parting Shade - the third and final installment.

Developers describe Parting Shade as their "parting gift to you, our players." As hinted earlier, players are expected to employ their entire arsenal of abilities to navigate through a personal rendition of the Path of Pain, drawing parallels to the notoriously challenging sub-area in Hollow Knight. The announcement of this DLC came in September, marking it as the as the last thing the development team needs to work on before shifting their focus towards the Switch port and GRIME 2.

GRIME is available on PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG) as well as Xbox and PlayStation.
