Unveiled during the Las Vegas Final Fantasy Fest in July and subsequently elaborated upon at the London Fan Fest in October, the Final Fantasy XVI crossover event is set to make its debut in the massively popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV in early April. While the event has been in preparation for some time, this is the first time we have a concrete release timeframe. The launch is scheduled to coincide with the current expansion, Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, preceding the arrival of the upcoming expansion, Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail.

We will join forces with the main character of Final Fantasy XVI, Clive Rosfield, in an exclusive event titled The Path Infernal. Throughout the questline, we’ll have to seek Clive's assistance in confronting diverse Eikons from Final Fantasy XVI. Successful completion of these tasks will yield unique rewards, such as Clive-inspired glamours and the coveted Torgal mount.

Producer Naoki Yoshida has explicitly communicated that the collaboration event is slated for an early April release. However, he also emphasized that this timeline is subject to change as the event approaches, so keep that in mind.

I am definitely coming back to XIV for this event. Eorzea, here I come (again)!
