During BlizzCon 2023, Blizzard revealed that the first expansion for Diablo 4 is titled Vessel of Hatred. We didn’t get a lot of information, but we know that the expansion will have Mephisto, one of the three Prime Evils, in the spotlight. The expansion will take place in the Jungles of Torajan and it will feature a brand new class.
As Blizzard states, the expansion is still early on in development and more information will be available in Summer 2024. We have no firm release date but the brief trailer revealed a timeframe of Late 2024.
The timing is perfect as the company already announced that Diablo IV will be getting annual expansions along with quarterly updates. This means we still have another two to three seasons before the first expansion sees the light of the day.
Vessel of Hatred is coming out at some point in 2023.
