Capcom have announced that Street Fighter 6 DLC A.K.I will be joining the roster on September 28 and gave us a fitting gameplay trailer that shows off her poisonous powers.
Looking at the trailer, I can safely say A.K.I. fits her gloomy moves just perfectly. From her serpentine moves to a rather eccentric dialogue, she looks like a chick that has a real “thrill of the kill” (it even rhymes). I really wouldn’t mess with her.
She takes inspiration from her master F.A.N.G. who we first saw in Street Fighter V. She comes with a whole arsenal of poison-centric moves ranging from Orchid Spring to long-distance Serpent Leash. Her story is also in line with this style and this can be seen in World Tour mode. You’ll be helping her track down herbal medicine in Tian Hong Yuan, while learning about her interest in the Shadaloo organization. You’ll also be able to add her moves to your custom avatar, which is such a neat feature to have.
A.K.I. will be available for Deluxe Edition, Ultimate Edition, and Year 1 Character Pass owners. And if you want to try her out before purchase, you can take her for an hour-long spin with a Rental Fighter ticket (make sure you have Fighting Pass first, though).
A.K.I. was first announced alongside the first wave of Street Fighter 6 DLC characters back in April. Following the launch of Rashid and A.K.I., Ed and Akuma are coming to the table next.
