DreadXP have announced that LUAL Games’ text adventure I Doesn’t Exist will launch on PC September 9, 2023.

Described as “Classic Zork meets existential crisis,” the game has you awakening in an unfamiliar forest and crafting a perfect way to escape from all the dangers that lurk inside. Beware, things are not as they seem…or so they say at least, we will see if that holds true in September.

In a regular text-adventure-fashion of the early PC days, I Doesn’t Exist provides a bunch of descriptive text as well as visual elements to showcase its bizarre world. We also have animations to guide you along the way, so you won’t have to rely on your intuition only to get out of the dark.

The game uses the rapidly-growing “Natural Language Processing” to make things more intuitive and support its parser. The studio says the AI isn’t involved in the creation process and serves the purpose to make the language parser more natural. As they say:

“Publisher DreadXP and developer LUAL value the authenticity of human-made narratives, and none of the in-game text in [I] doesn’t exist is AI-generated. The Natural Language Processing technology utilized in the game is not affiliated with ChatGPT or other similar AI platforms and utilizes only the player’s input to access pre-written responses by the game’s super-cool writers.”
