Tekken 8 was originally announced back in 2022 and a Closed Network test was recently released on multiple platforms in July. However, some players seem to have cracked the CNT in ways to play the game in…well, unintended ways, to put it up lightly. Now Bandai Namco issued a warning against these folks who are playing Tekken 8’s cracked CNT and they will face consequences if caught.

People playing with the cracked CNT can not only play the game offline but also keep playing the game beyond the scheduled test period. Bandai Namco posted a tweet, saying that this behavior violates their Terms of Service as well as the Tekken World Tour’s Code of Conduct.

Unauthorized access to the CNT may result in a ban from the upcoming Tekken World Tour and other official tournaments. So if you’re competitive and if you’re one of these folks, you may want to take this warning seriously.

Another problem that the CNT has caused is the game’s partial roster leaking. Even though the company officially announced 16 characters, the leak revealed a longer list of playable fighters.

We’re yet to get a concrete release date for Tekken 8 and we’ll keep you updated once it is put up.
