A pioneer of retro-pop interface devices, 8BitDo, have announced their new product – a retro-styled mechanical keyboard with a strong 80s flavor. It comes in two different styles – NES and Famicom, and it looks amazing (quite frankly).

The keyboard has options for wired, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz use, just like most of their controllers. We don’t know what mechanical switches the keys use, but we know that the PCB is hot-swappable and you can map the keys however if you like in case you prefer DVORAK.

The battery lasts for roughly 200 hours on a 4-hour charge, which is more than enough to cover most people’s travel needs. It also has big A and B buttons that are referred to as “Super Buttons”. I have no clue what their function is, but I am giving the whole thing additional bonus points for directly reminding me of my NES days and all the glorious moments that I had with my NES controller

You can pre-order the 8BitDo Retro Mechanical Keyboard on Amazon for $99.99. The shipping will start on August 10, 2023.
