As a part of the recent Limited Run Games showcase, the published revealed which retro games will be getting a modern makeover, and one of them is Tomba, the 1998 (or 1997, if we’re talking about the Japanese version) platformer by legendary Tokuro Fujiwara.

Tomba is a highly underrated gem that focuses on pink-haired cavemen. It’s an ambitious gated exploration platformer that strived to do a lot, but sadly, it didn’t get enough love from the gaming community (nor the reviewers).

At this point, we don’t have a lot of information about this modern makeover, but a tweet revealed that it will be available on all current platforms, it will be utilizing the Carbon Engine, and it will be available both physically and digitally.

Tomba is coming to PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC. We are yet to if the sequel will get the same treatment.
