Summerfall Studios have announced that the musical RPG, Stray Gods, won’t meet the previously scheduled launch date (August 3) and the release has now been pushed back to August 10.

The studio issued a statement on the matter, explaining the reasons for the delay:

“We want everyone to have ample space to check out Stray Gods when it launches. Baldur’s Gate 3 is hotly anticipated (by us, too!) and we want to give our fans room to celebrate Stray Gods.”

The statement then goes on to say that the studio taking on a lot by launching on a plethora of platforms—PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and the Nintendo Switch.

“This is a huge undertaking for any team, let alone an indie shipping its first title. This extra week allows us to have performance parity as close as possible—across every platform.”

I am definitely looking forward to trying this game in August!

Stray Gods is coming to PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch on August 10.
