Ninjaconor have just released their DOS-adventure-inspired RPG, Sergeant Squidley: Space Cop, on PC.

The game is heavily inspired by text-based DOS games and one can tell it has those recognizable visuals. It also has a lot of text boxes, big crunchy pixels and it looks almost like a dating sim.

The plot revolves around a cop that has seven days to solve a crime and you will get to choose how he spends his days. You can look after your core stats, and upgrade your skills, and the outcome is entirely based on how you spend your time in the game. Just like a true dating sim.

The game aims to be n open-ended experience. Depending on your choices, Mr. Squadley might follow his sax dreams, reconnect with his estranged son, and even become some kind of a super-cop.

Sergeant Squidley: Space Cop is available now on PC via Steam.
