What was recently “just a rumor” turned out to be very true indeed. The iconic SNES classic, Super Mario RPG is getting a full-fledged remake for Nintendo Switch and the launch date is set for November 17. What a historical year this will be!
The footage we saw during the Nintendo Direct showed us many of the game’s familiar locations that were successfully recreated in 3D. The gameplay, however, appears to be largely the same. For instance, battles show chain bonuses and a mysterious percentage meter on the left side of the screen. I have no clue what that means but I sure can’t wait to find out.
While waiting for more information, it is worth noting that the Super Mario RPG remake is coming to Nintendo Switch on November 17.
