A new Sony State of Play is coming along and it will have a full focus on Final Fantasy XVI. Sony have confirmed that the highly-anticipated RPG will be getting a new update on April 13.

You’ll be able to follow the new State of Play on Sony’s official Twitch and YouTube channels on April 13 at 5 PM ET/2 PM PT. The show will feature “more than 20 minutes” of the new footage.

The PlayStation blog doesn’t indicate any specific information, aside from touching upon the dark fantasy setting and battles between the Eikons and Dominants, though apparently, the showcase will show “all this and more”, so we better stay tuned for more information.

It’ll be exciting to see what Square Enix and Sony have in store for us this time around, as we’ve just recently got a very good look into Final Fantasy XVI, and based on what we know so far, the next entry in the series will definitely have a dark fantasy flavor but it will have a traditional Final Fantasy trademark on top of it as well.

The release date for Final Fantasy XVI is very far off at this point, but whatever comes on June 22, we will get a better glimpse of it tomorrow.
