Attention all COD-hating die hard Battlefield fans! The online Beta is finally among you! No, but seriously, for anyone that has been waiting for the new Battlefield 1 Beta now is the time to sign up and get your inside access.

All you have to do is go to the Battlefield 1 site www.battlefield.com/beta and enter in your EA access account information and EA will send you an email with directions on how to access the Beta, which is coming out the 31st of August, with EA insiders having early access. You have to hurry though because the deadline to get that information is August 21st!

The Beta is going to let you try multiple new features that the game has to offer, here is what we know you are going to be able to do so far:

  • · First, you can expect to take the fight to the Sinai desert where you will have to fight through a variety of environments such as sand dunes, village streets and alleyways, and of course flying over dunes and cliffs in old time WWI era planes. They may not be as fancy as the jets from previous games, but they still go bang bang when you need them to.

  • · Second, you know how in past games you had to work to take down tanks and Humvees filled to the brim with people? Well you kind of get to do something like that, but instead in this Beta its going to be a whole armored train! That's right, back in the day when trains where a big deal they were also instruments of war, and now it's your turn to work with your teammates to stop the big metal torpedo.

  • · Third, since we are throwing back to old methods of transportation like trains, it seems only fitting that you would get to ride into combat on a horse! WWI was one of the last wars that horses were used to ride into battle, and EA wants you to ride in guns blazing and swords swinging!

  • · Finally, EA and Battlefield are letting their dedicated players try two modes of multi-player combat! The first being the Battlefield 1 version of All-Out War, with 64-players fighting for key objectives around the map. The second being a 24-player mission where the attacking force tries to find and destroy telegraph posts of the defending team, which hats off to Battlefield for picking such an accurate battle style since that was a popular tactic in WWI.

Well there you have it guys and gals, all the cool things coming in the Battlefield 1 online Beta! Looks cool right? We agree. So if you want to play the game get to the Battlefield website by following the link at the top of the page and make sure to submit your email before the 21st of August. Hope to see you out there!
